Inksllingers October Contest

Inkslingers is a club here on deviantArt that specializes in the art of inking. All forms of inking are welcome to the group, including (but NOT limited to) pen and ink, brush and ink, colored inkwork, ink wash, ink wash off, airbrush (with ink), and tattoo inking.

This month's contest is "Horror!"

Figured since halloween is gonna be at the end of the month, why not celebrate the holiday with something pretty creepy/scary? Maybe some zombies, chainsaw maniacs, vampires, lots of blood? :) Just go crazy and have fun with it!

In order to submit, send a note to the club titled "october contest" and include a link to the piece on your page. It will be submitted to the gallery and journal at the end of the month.

Is there an official way to solicit advice from my fellow Inkslingers? I've got a piece I'm working on and I'm not sure how dark I should make the background. Or rather it needs to be stippled, hatched or just plain filled in.

Hmmmm I guess right here would work, or try messaging other people. I'll also put a footer on journals from now on about current WIP from members in the club, kinda like what they are working on and how far they are. Anything I (justsomedude86) can help too?

I'm not sure what to do with the background of [link] I don't want to make it too dark, but how dark is too dark? I am also aware that the table and lady are crooked. Not much I can do about that now. Or is there? And any other suggestions you want to make would be welcomed. Thank you!
